The Western Front

World War I came to be known as the great War or the War to End all Wars. The war offically began July 28, 1914 one month after the assassination of Autrian Archduke Franz Ferdiand and ended on November 11, 1918. The war saw the military involvement of 65 million men, 40 countries, and dozens of colonies. This project involved traveling to the Western Front with my students 100 years after the war and exlored what we found through different artistic mediums. Upon returning home we collected all of our work and designed a beautiful book that is available through our university website.
